S’mores Bars

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Crust:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×9-inch or 8×8-inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until the mixture is well combined and crumbly.
  • Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.
  • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it’s golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.

2. Add the Chocolate:

  • Once the crust has cooled for a few minutes, sprinkle the milk chocolate chips evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  • Gently press the chocolate chips into the crust with the back of a spoon to help them stick.

3. Add the Marshmallows:

  • Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate chips. You can use large marshmallows if you prefer, but cut them into smaller pieces for even coverage.

4. Bake the Bars:

  • Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows have puffed up and turned golden brown.

5. Add the Topping:

  • After baking, remove the bars from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • For an extra touch, sprinkle the top with additional mini marshmallows, and then drizzle with melted milk chocolate.
  • To melt the chocolate, simply place 1/4 cup of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.

6. Cool and Slice:

  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. This will help the bars hold together and make them easier to slice.
  • Once cooled, slice the bars into squares or rectangles, depending on your preference.

7. Serve:

  • Serve these gooey, sweet S’mores Bars at room temperature or slightly chilled.
