Grease a 9×9-inch or 8×8-inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until the mixture is well combined and crumbly.
Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it’s golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
2. Add the Chocolate:
Once the crust has cooled for a few minutes, sprinkle the milk chocolate chips evenly over the graham cracker crust.
Gently press the chocolate chips into the crust with the back of a spoon to help them stick.
3. Add the Marshmallows:
Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate chips. You can use large marshmallows if you prefer, but cut them into smaller pieces for even coverage.
4. Bake the Bars:
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows have puffed up and turned golden brown.
5. Add the Topping:
After baking, remove the bars from the oven and let them cool slightly.
For an extra touch, sprinkle the top with additional mini marshmallows, and then drizzle with melted milk chocolate.
To melt the chocolate, simply place 1/4 cup of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
6. Cool and Slice:
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. This will help the bars hold together and make them easier to slice.
Once cooled, slice the bars into squares or rectangles, depending on your preference.
7. Serve:
Serve these gooey, sweet S’mores Bars at room temperature or slightly chilled.
