Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole Recipe

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Assemble the Casserole:

  • In the prepared baking dish, dump the frozen meatballs, followed by the uncooked pasta.
  • Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the top of the meatballs and pasta, ensuring everything is covered.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the top, to taste.
  • Add the ricotta cheese (if using) by spooning it in small dollops over the casserole, then spread the mozzarella cheese evenly on top. Finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

3. Bake:

  • Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  • After 40 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown.

4. Serve:

  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh basil if desired, and enjoy your comforting, cheesy casserole!
