Cheddar Ranch Chicken Burgers

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Burger Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning mix, breadcrumbs (if using), egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until just combined—be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
  2. Form the Patties:
    • Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions. Using your hands, gently form the mixture into patties that are about 1/2 inch thick. If the patties are too thick, they may not cook through properly, so aim for a medium thickness.
  3. Cook the Burgers:
    • Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
    • Once the pan is hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the burgers are fully cooked through.
    • You can also cook these burgers on an outdoor grill if preferred—just cook on medium heat and flip once the first side is nicely browned.
  4. Assemble the Burgers:
    • Toast the burger buns lightly in the skillet or on the grill, if desired.
    • Place each cooked chicken burger on a bun and top with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, and a drizzle of extra ranch dressing.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve immediately with a side of fries, a salad, or any side of your choice.
