Rotel Sausage & Cream Cheese Crescents

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sausage: In a large skillet, brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  3. Mix the filling: In the same skillet or a separate bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and the drained Rotel tomatoes. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and creamy. If you want a bit more flavor, you can add garlic powder or any other seasoning you like. Optionally, stir in shredded cheddar cheese for a cheesy kick.
  4. Prepare the crescent rolls: Open the packages of crescent dough and unroll them. Separate the dough into individual triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  5. Fill the crescents: Spoon a generous amount of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up each one starting from the wide end and ending at the point.
  6. Bake: Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet and bake according to the crescent roll package instructions, usually about 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and serve warm. Enjoy as an appetizer or snack!
